DESCRIPTION:The London Heritage Council organizes the city’s main Canada Day celebration and has done so successfully for the last 10 years. Canada Day London is an event that brings together the many rich cultures and diverse peoples who contribute to the Canada we know and love. A celebration of the people who have come before us\, honoring their legacies and impacts to the society we now enjoy and everyone who continues to uphold the rich heritage of our beautiful Forest City. Observed each year on July 1st. \nThis year\, London is celebrating its 200th year since its founding! Canada Day 2026 will give the opportunity for all Londoners to come out and experience the culmination and efforts of two centuries of history. Through an acknowledgement of the past and celebration of the present\, this year’s event will help showcase\, value\, and experience the heritage and culture of the many people who have called London their home. DESCRIPTION:Downtown London is the place to be this Canada Day. Experience fun activities\, delicious food\, live music\, and amazing fireworks. There’s something for everyone to enjoy downtown this Canada Day. \nKick off Canada Day early at Night Market London \nOn Tuesday\, June 30\, start the celebration early by heading to Dundas Place for Night Market London. Hosted by the London Heritage Council\, this interactive\, family-friendly street festival will feature local artists\, musicians\, street performers\, artisans\, and a variety of food\, drink and small business vendors. \nExperience community and culture at Canada Day London\nThe celebration continues on Wednesday\, July 1\, with Canada Day London on Dundas Place from 12 – 11 p.m. Join London Heritage Council once again as they bring together the diverse cultures and people that make up our city. Experience live music\, unique vendors\, kids activities and more. \nEnd Canada Day on a high note in Harris Park\nOn the evening of July 1\, the City of London and Centro by Old Oak present live music\, food trucks and fireworks in Harris Park. \nThe celebration begins at 6 p.m. with giant games and activities happening throughout the park. Londoner’s can also grab a savoury bite or a sweet treat from one of the many local food trucks onsite. \nThe Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) Entertainment Zone\, will feature live music\, including London and area artists as they pay tribute to London’s bicentennial through original song. Then\, starting at 7 p.m.\, performers La Tribu\, Lua Sol\, take the stage\, followed by headliner John Muirhead at 9 p.m. \nFireworks light up the night sky \nCanada Day fireworks in Harris Park remain one of London’s most anticipated summer traditions. With recent road improvements around Harris Park\, Londoners are encouraged to plan their route and get there early to find a spot for the show.
