Welcome to Neighbourhood Shops (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Neighbourhood Shops website and services (the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
Neighbourhood Shops is a Canada-wide directory and promotional platform designed to help users discover local businesses and to help businesses increase visibility within their communities. We operate across Canada and serve businesses and users nationwide.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Business listings may be added by Neighbourhood Shops or claimed by business owners.
Some listings may be marked as “Community Listing (Unclaimed)” and may not be verified.
Neighbourhood Shops does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of listing information.
Business owners are responsible for the accuracy of any information they provide when claiming or updating a listing.
Business owners may request to claim a listing to update information, add content, or access additional features. Neighbourhood Shops reserves the right to verify ownership and approve or reject claim requests at its discretion.
Neighbourhood Shops may offer paid services, including featured placements, enhanced visibility, or promotional opportunities.
Fees, billing cycles, and features will be disclosed at the time of purchase.
All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
We reserve the right to modify pricing or services with reasonable notice.
Neighbourhood Shops is a directory and promotional platform only.
We do not endorse, recommend, guarantee, or warrant any listed business, service, pricing, or outcome.
We do not participate in transactions between users and businesses.
Any engagement between users and businesses is solely between those parties.
You agree not to:
Use the Platform for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
Post false, misleading, or harmful information
Interfere with the operation or security of the Platform
Infringe upon intellectual property or privacy rights
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend access for violations of these Terms.
All content on the Platform, including text, design, graphics, and branding, is owned by or licensed to Neighbourhood Shops and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission.
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites and do not endorse them.
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Neighbourhood Shops disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Neighbourhood Shops shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Platform or reliance on any listings or content.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Neighbourhood Shops from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising out of your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
